Willem Claesz Heda, A Banquet-piece (c. 1635)

Aura farm for love

The first person you lie to is yourself

Then you go to Sephora and

lie some more

My tight clothes keep my insides

from falling out

The Goddess enacts cruelty on the weak

Her husband tortures their flesh

The rapist dolphin escapes

Cavewoman love caveman

Caveman love warm hole

I love sociopaths because

kindness is repulsive

Stalk me on Instagram

Meditate while you wear my skin...

You will never have a boyfriend!

All the sigils say you’re easy

I have meth in my chakras

I have something special and

I must hide it

Suffer Well Tomato

I.

Grandma spider loves her egghead son

like spider Jesus

who can run for hours a day

and never get faster

whose time in the womb

made him gay

II.

Poor little worm named sparrow

transitions to being a spider

to steal what mama and papa

spider built

She doesn’t lie to spiders,

she lies to herself

Sad little worm

She’s tragically late

for zoom therapy

One allotted trip

to Breakneck Ridge

Two trips to the beach

A year and a half

of missing locations

III.

Papa spider and the worm

do blood magic by accident

Find demons on the web

and leave their presents out

to enrage mama spider

Tiny figurines and herbal cigarettes

Pillow talk almanac

Tabloid fodder

Tides ebb with fear and anger

and stir the spiders

into a vibrating mess

IV.

Papa spider packs

the family’s things in the truck

and stuffs the gas tank

with gas soaked rags

V.

In heaven

nobody asks why

they make pasta together

with home grown tomatoes

Rotate baby spider

out of harm's way

VI.

Mama spider descends

further and further

into spider children’s television

Into the second innermost

circle of hell

Four corners has her scarf

Or it wouldn’t be her scarf

Red blue yellow green

If you see a crocodile

don’t forget to scream
