Don't think you can't leave, 2021, ink on paper

SELDON YUAN

Under the influence of poetry, my work is based on a personal history where poetry/text is combined with visual art. Focusing on a personal poetics of multiple perspectives and mediums, the work extends across a spectrum of optical effects, absurdity, stoicism, existentialism, humor, surrealism, the semantics of language and Buddhist mantras that are in service of a personal narrative.
